CWC Blog Hop: Christmas is for the Birds! Shaped Card FREE gypsy file GIVEAWAY Day 1

Shaped Winter Ms. Bird Card

Welcome to Getting Cricky with KAndrew and the Holiday Blog Hop!

Hello all my dear creative blog readers and friends! I hope everyone is having a Super Saturday! I have created this adorable shaped card using my gypsy and my Simply Charmed cartridge from Memory Miser. As you know Marla at Memory Miser is giving this cartridge away FREE here for the winner of my Boyish Charms challenge--you still have 2 days to make any boyish project for a chance to win!

You can download this adorable Gypsy File for this card HERE

Ingredients to capture this shaped bird card:Simply Charmed cartridge
Textured cardstocks: Red, Pale blue
Markers: Black, red, blue
White Gel or Signo Pen
Organza flower or other flower embellishment (Creative charms is shown)
White Puff paint (Tulip brand is shown)
Red Polka dot ribbon (Creative charms is shown)

Use my gypsy file to cut all pieces, or use the below gypsy measurements with your cricut (roughly)
Bird card on pale blue cardstock at 5.5" tall
Hat on dotted cardstock at 2.5" tall
Belly on red cardstock at 2.5" wide
Hat pom-pom on red cardstock at 1" high
(all sizes are relative to bird)
Assemble bird as shown or in Simply Charmed booklet.
Use your blue marker to color the bird's beak, and outline his tail feathers. Then color his legs blue.
Create red socks by coloring the lower portion of legs red--then use white gel pen to add stripes
Color shoes black with marker, and add black eye with marker. Add a small dot with white gel pen to eye to highlight.

Glue dotted hat onto bird, and top with red circle. Use white gel pen to add circular swirls on the "pom-pom" of hat.
Now take your white puff paint and squeeze paint onto the lower brim of the hat--let dry for about 2 minutes, then use your heat tool to "puff" the paint up--or let dry naturally.
Add your red dot ribbon along the bottom brim of the hat, and add red organza flower.
Don't forget to add a small piece of ribbon at the top of Tweetie's "socks".
